Reliability and quality are distinctive factors of the core business of ODE. The company ensures them at the highest level. This is possible because ODE manufactures the majority of the required mechanical components in its factory, optimizes the synergy of all production processes and, more generally, controls the whole production chain right from the incoming material inspection.
In the Colico factory, the production chain was studied in order to obtain finished pieces directly in the machines, thus considerably reducing the required time to tool-up, load and unload the machines. The aim is to achieve the lowering of costs and quality improvement.
The wide range of different multispindle machines allows the manufacturing of kits for solenoid valves combining productivity and uppermost precision. The automized multiple station transfer machine technology allows maximum productivity in manufacturing different parts, combining operative flexibility and chain production. To this regard, the flexibility characterizing machines with numerical control and machining centers is extremely important: they require shorter tooling time and optimize the manufacturing in small lots, typical for extremely differentiated mechanical parts.
The welding, grinding, and assembling phases are based on the experience of the workers. Also the human experience is more and more aligned to testing automation, aiming at the standardization of the process in compliance with strict international standards such as the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
